Mandy Holloway: A Life Dedicated to Faith and Service
At 43, Mandy Holloway resides in Thibodaux, LA, with her husband, Shay Holloway, their four children (ages 18, 15, 13, and 11), and a 9-month-old foster baby. The Holloways have opened their hearts and home to four foster children over the years.
Mandy, with a Bachelor's in Art and a minor in Psychology, serves full-time at House of Prayer under Pastor Josh Melancon and her spiritual father, Bishop Ronnie Melancon. Her educational background equips her to oversee the Next Step Classes for new members and the church's community groups program.
A powerful speaker, Mandy has preached across the United States. She and Shay founded Refuge 127 ministries, building a school and orphanage in Uganda, Africa, and providing two deep water wells. For a decade, they ministered in Uganda's poorest regions, preaching in prisons and baptizing hundreds in Jesus' Name. Recently, the family embarked on a mission trip to Guatemala.
Raised Catholic, Mandy experienced a transformative conversion at 20. Just three months after receiving the Holy Ghost, she embarked on a mission trip to Berlin, armed with little biblical knowledge but a powerful testimony of freedom and renewal.
Mandy's passion lies in teaching Bible studies and praying for others to receive the Holy Ghost. Answering God's call to preach the Gospel, she obtained her minister's license and district license from the UPCI.
Her life exemplifies her favorite saying: "All Jesus wants is your 'yes'!" Mandy Holloway's journey is a testament to the power of that simple declaration.
